Founded by Josh Weber in Lancaster, PA, Scoop Wise was born out of a desire to simplify life for dog owners and improve spaces frequented by dogs. By tackling one of the least-loved chores—cleaning up pet waste—we create cleaner, healthier environments everyone can enjoy. Life is busy, and dog ownership comes with its challenges. That’s why we don’t judge—we scoop. So you can spend more time on what matters most to you.

Josh, who grew up with two black Labradors, understands the joys and responsibilities of pet ownership. Scoop Wise is committed to cleaning up Lancaster and the Susquehanna Valley, one yard at a time.

Does Scoop Wise Clean the Entire Yard?

Scoop Wise will clean any areas of your property with dog waste issues, including front, back, and side yards, flower beds, dog runs, etc.

Do you provide dog waste removal services year-round?

Yes, dogs go year-round, so we scoop year-round. Like the mailman, little will prevent us from doing our duty.

How do you ensure the safety of my dogs?

If your dogs are outside and within an enclosed area, we will latch the gate and keep an eye on your pup as we enter and exit the property.

How much does the dog waste removal service cost?

Great question – Our website has a quick instant quote tool. The price will depend on the number of dogs you have, the scheduling frequency, and the yard size. Look for the yellow button.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No contracts allow you to cancel whenever you choose, but we’re confident you’ll be happy and want to stay. You can pause or cancel an account via your customer portal or by calling us. We have a policy agreement outlining what to expect from our service, so everyone’s on the same page.

Can you clean with my dog in the yard?

Yes, we would love to meet your dog. It’s their yard, after all! Please keep any dogs who are aggressive towards new people inside while the technician is scooping.

How does the billing process work?

Billing is processed on the 1st of each month before services begin. Set up automatic payments with a credit/debit card or bank account. Once enrolled, we’ll email your invoice and receipt, which can also be viewed in your customer portal. Your service will be paused if payment isn’t received before your first cleaning or there is a lapse in payment coverage. If you’re starting a new service with us mid-month, billing will be processed at that moment and will consist of the initial cleanup fee and any remaining scoop dates in the month. Upon cancellation, we will continue service for the remainder of the billing cycle.

What happens in bad weather?

The safety of our employees is paramount. If hazardous weather conditions occur during your scheduled time, we will notify you in advance and return next week to perform double duty. Severe weather conditions could include heavy snowfall, lightning, or hail.

How do you guys handle the waste disposal?

All waste is double-bagged and placed in the customer’s outdoor trash can. If there is no can or we are unable to get it, we will leave the bag(s) in the backyard in a visible location and inform the customer.

Do you provide an arrival window for service?

We operate like the garbage men – to keep our business as efficient as possible, we optimize our routes each morning to ensure the least time is spent between stops. This allows us to provide you with a lower price. A 60-minute “On The Way” text will be sent beforehand. You are not required to be home during service. Please contact us for exceptions requiring you to be home to let the technician into the yard. This could be because of things like, the need to enter the home to access the yard, or a desire to not share the gate code or key location.

Is Scoop Wise licensed & insured?

Yes, Scoop Wise is licensed and insured. This will protect you from any accidents or injuries while the service is being performed. Rest assured, we take our community’s safety and happiness seriously.

How often do you service my yard?

We offer a one-time scoop service and a subscription plan. You can choose from twice a week, once a week, twice a month, or once a month.
